I had that problem with my old 900. The problem was then the starter engine,
one of the coal brushes had slipped out of it's position. The symptoms were
that the car started ok sometimes and not at all once in a while. I had this
starter problem for six months before it finally did not start at all. This
could be a solution for Your problem. Good luck!
