I have a 1986 900 as well, and this sounds familiar to
me. A common problem on the classic Saab 900s is the
grounding of the rear lights. Brake, fog light,
reverse and turn signal are all somehow connected to
the same ground wire, and if this goes bad, these
funny light effects occur, like flashing you brake
lights instead of the turning signals and so on. Iīm
no e-freak, but the solution is simple: Just locate
the black wire (I think itīs the black one, yes) and
ground it properly to the chassis. Thatīs it.
