Ok, for any Saab 1981 & later, the following applies:

Go to the junkyard. Pull the headrests up out of their sockets.
Using either a #3 (yes, number THREE) Phillips screwdriver or a T-30
(IIRC) Torx driver (which you use depends on the year of the car),
remove the two long screws, and then the socket.

On YOUR car, feel along the back of the seatback. You will find three
(3!!) pairs of the screw sockets covered with the seatback covering.
Using a razor or X-acto knife, cut an 'X' in each hole you want to
use, place the socket & screw it down. You can install the two
outboard, like all Saabs come with, and even add a center headrest.
