If it costs $1800 to $2000 for repairing the damage, what would have
been the cost of a replacement motor (used and, if available from SAAB,
new)? Anyone know?
...just curious since I have 216.8k and the original chain (and turbo).
Mercedes-Benz will sell you a factory refurbished 5 cyl. diesel motor
for just under $5k (Yikes!!)...but you'd have to try VERY hard to kill a
M-B diesel in the first place.
