My 91 900TC has not leaked since I put a tiny bead of silicone between the
rain gutter and the windshield frame along each end of the windshield.
There is a tiny crack between the bottom/back of the actual rain gutter and
the metal strip right behind it, which wicks water inside the windshield
frame and door pillar. If you are lucky it finds its way outside the
weatherstrip system that begins just below the bottom of the window. Mine
tended to find its way inside but through a path I could never see. Finally
one day I parked on just the right slope and it came running down the
inside of the door panel onto the armrest - gotcha! I don't have any
experience with water in the back seat area...
