Well, without intending to seem provincial and mean spirited, I might point
out that the Saab airframes are 'built from scratch', and contain a very
high percentage of home-grown avionics from Ericcson, another Investor AB
company. Volvo Flygmotor, otoh, mainly builds under license to either GE
or Pratt & Whitney (although in fairness, the engines are no doubt modified
some.

For Warranty issues, the clock stops when you first complain about a
problem. Even if the dealer 'can't find anything', if the problem
manifests itself 'solid' in 6 months or a year from now, it's still covered
so long as the problem is well documented.

'Click-clicks' from the front are normally wheel bearings or universal
joints, although this *could* be from the strut mount, which has proven
troublesome in some cars.
