If I understand your problem, you need a special tool to turn the little
dimpled piston in the caliper before the piston will move back. I made
one for next to nothing by measuring from center to center across two
opposite dimples, then drilling two holes the diameter of the dimples,
or slightly smaller, on those centers in an old metal ruler I had, then
putting two short bolts and nuts through the holes. The bolts only need
to stick out about 1/8' from the nuts. You have to move the piston
back a little at a time. Turn the piston about one turn with the tool,
then put something between the piston and rotor to pry the piston back a
little (I have an old, heavy, square shafted screwdriver I use for this
- being careful not to scratch or mar the rotor). Repeat this process
until the piston is fully retracted. Remember to take a little fluid
out of the brake reservoir before you start.
