FYI- just did a postmortem on a very intermittent DI cassette-
replaced with a new 9000 DIRECT IGNITION CASSETTE 1990-1998 9178955
You can take off the 8 screws on the black surround on the underside of the
cassette. I found low oil levels on coil numbers 2 and 4 (less than 1/2
full). I was unable to duplicate the rough engine problem in the garage, so
couldn't do the spark test and no error codes. Can't do anything about the
levels, since they are sealed, but for those in a similar situation this
test can help determine if it is the cassette or the injector or the ECM.
