Frozen Brake Caliper

I attempted last night to put a new set of front brake pads on my 1987 900S
(front parking brake). After getting the old pads out, I found that I
couldn't budge the yoke that is connected to the secondary piston. I tapped
on it with a hammer, and got it broken loose from the rust and dirt that
were holding it to the body, but still couldn't seem to make that secondary
piston move in the slightest. Is there any sort of a trick to it, or is it
probably rusted tight on the inside? Oddly enough, the old pads were worn
almost exactly the same; not what I'd expect from a frozen piston.

TIA,

John Francis
