Another reason is an aftermarket exhaust system that isn't exactly to spec.
I had one years ago that never could be adjusted right. I had it back at my
mechanic 3 times (4 if you count the initial installation). Never quite
right. It banged against the axle. You could see the shiny spot on the pipe
where it hit. I'm in tomorrow for a new exhaust. I specified OEM parts.
