I also own a 2002 Aero; mine is the SportWagon variant. When the OEM shocks
gave up the ghost at 15K (a might premature, I believe - I could push down
on them and pull them up with my hands after they were removed from the
vehicle), I purchased a set of Koni's. I initially had them set just a half
turn from their softest setting and found them too soft. I then took them
back to my dealer and had them set mid-way through their adjustment (unlike
other Koni's I've used in the past, you can't adjust them yourself - they
have to be taken off the vehicle, adjusted, and then re-installed. Not fun),
and have had no problems since. It is definitely more stiff than stock, but
not too stiff IMHO.

I prefer Bilstein's over Koni's, but can't find any that currently work with
the 2002 and newer 9-5 chassis.

HTH,
Jeff Gilbertson
