Replacing and / or swaping inner drivers can be done with the
power train in place and the method is the same for all 99s and
classic 900s from 1975 to 1993.
Raise the car on a lift and drain the transmission oil.
Take the drive shafts out of the car complete with
the steering knuckles, and then the deffential cover.
Dismantle the bolts of the right side bearing cap that holds
the inner driver and pull it out with a sliding hammer and
an appropriate puller. Note the upper side and take care
about the shims that are used to adjust the crown wheel play
and the differential pre load.
The driver itself is secured to the bearing cap with a circlip,
and when taking it out, it would be wise to replace the oil seal.
Then do the same with the left side and note the longer bolt
by the speedometre driver. Hold the crown wheel and the
satelite housing while doing this to prevent them from falling.
Assemble the swaped drivers to the bearing caps and then to
the transmission case beginning from the left side and renew
the gasket of the differential cover.
Good luck
