I bought one that was something like 1984-2002 for $10.50 plus shipping. It
turned out to be nothing more than a parts listing and diagrams. No workshop
or service information at all. Check carefully what you buy.

i bought a CD from ebay that appears to be a parts catalog of sorts. i don't
have it here with me for a better description. it is not a repair manual set.
it was fairly represented, except that it's obvious that what i have is a
homemade copy. granted, a nice copy, as it has a nicely printed CD label, and
works fine, but it is not the same as would be issued to a Saab parts shop.

So my advice would be - if you're willing to get a copy, then what you've
found on ebay is probably a copy of the official CD. of course, there are all
sorts of copyright issues involved, as i'm sure that something that
'officially' costs $375 will not be available in the public domain, and
therefore, a copy would be illegal.

Here is what one eBay seller wrote in reply to my inquiry about the Saab
repair manual on CD-ROM.
Hi,
This is the original Saab repair manual put on cd in pdf format in over 80
files with over 1500 pages of comprehensive information and hundreds of
diagrams and illustrations. This is the best repair manual you can buy for
a very reasonable price.
Thanks
Dane

Although I'm a frequent buyer on eBay, I passed on this one.

I am also looking for a repair manual for my 99 Saab 9-3 but any of the after
market manuals like Haynes are only for older 900's and such. Where can I get
a repair manual paper or CD rom for mt1999 Saab 9-3.
