These guys are knuckleheads, at least when it comes to tire pressures. Use
the numbers recommended by Saab as your starting point. Personally I add
10% (3-4 PSI) for better fuel economy and to provide a 'cushion' for the
inevitable air loss which occurs. The downside to running on severely
over-inflated tires are a very hard ride, a tendency for the tires to wear
in the middle instead of evenly across the tread, and a tendency to
'skitter' in bumpy turns. But given a choice between severe over-inflation
and moderate under-inflation, at least over inflation does not have the
risk of tire damage and catastrophic tire failure. (Engineering term that
means the tire comes apart, not that the consequences are automatically
catastrophic, although they could be)
