Have you checked to see if your odometer/trip meter is always =
registering during the period that you are measuring? I had a similar =
issue with my 89 Base model and was dumbfounded as the mixture and =
emission levels checked out perfect; I even replaced the air mass meter =
to be double sure. However, later, I eventually noticed that the =
odometer and trip meter worked intermittently and not at all when it was =
especially hot. This is a common problem on the older 900's and results =
in a computed gas mileage that looks terrible!.
