My '93 9000 Aero developed same problem, although I've only had the car 1.5
years, so don't know if prior owner replaced it. I also only use straight
w/w fluid, so it shouldn't be a freezing issue -- may be a design issue
that is stressing and cracking the bottle ??? My neighbor's '95 Aero
washer bottle needed replacement recently as well, done at the dealer ($175
parts & labor). I just received a used one from a dismantler for $45
including shipping, dealer wanted $100 for the part. It's a pain to get at
though, as it's embedded in the fender well and the nuts are rather well
defended by various frame and motor components . . . I haven't taken it
out yet due to the fact that my 'standard' straight sockets/extensions will
not allow me to move the ratchet; I'll need a 'knuckle' adapter. . .

'86 SPG (sold at 150k miles, miss it)
'95 900S (primarily wife's car, don't miss it)
'93 9000 Aero, 122k, great car
