The pedals in the standard transmission Saab are arranged to allow those
'skilled in the art' to 'heel and toe' while downshifting quite easily.
Based on my 9K, I'd say Saab tends to leave the brake pedal in the same
place with the A/T, although it is wider.

I suspect that the V*lvo pedal position, with the 5-speed, is similar to
the Saabs.
