Your problem is very likely the control panel itself. They seem to 'hang' or
'freeze' like a computer, which is what it is, in a way. They are easy
enough to replace, but expensive ($800 new). To remove the panel, take out
the ashtray, reach inside to get behind the ACC panel, & pop it out.
I would just live with it unless it gets real bad. I've heard of them giving
frequent trouble for awhile, and then working normally for months or longer.
And a used one might wind up doing the same thing.
