You shouldn't need to remove the dash, but probably will need to remove
the console and left speaker grille.

Speaker Grille: remove two T-10 Torx screws. Lift up gently on the rear
edge (I use the defroster grate as well to pull up). You may need to
slide it to one side to release it, then pull towards you. It's finesse,
and hard to describe.

Console (between floor console and dash - where the EQ was): Remove
ashtray by pressing down on tab & over rotating. Remove rubber bellows
between floor console & storage console (just pull up). Remove two T-25
TORX screws from center console tabs under bellows. Remove 10mm hex bolt
from above where the ashtray goes. With the long knee bolster (on
airbag & passive seatbelt cars), you'll probably have to remove the four
TORX screws (size escapes me, try T-20 or T-25) holding the black
plastic part of the console to the carpet part. Pull the console to the
rear, tilting it out from under the lower lip of the dash. I also find
rotating the whole console helps get it out.

The DIN cables run from the radio forward to a space to the left of the
heater valve, but towards the right side of the *left* speaker grille
opening, down behind the ducting, following the center duct for the rear
floor, passes under the 'floor' vents, and into the back of the console.

Good luck!

Larry
