ahem....perhaps you should go back and read the hype in ALL the SAAB sales
lit of that time...I still have mine.....that cherry red pict of the turbo
was plastered everwhere....claiming/implying high reliability....(yeah)

Not YET, anyway....lets see...I think it was about 4 years for the bad ones
to surface on the 1980's version...

But they still have wires and are succeptable to heat as well....

Except for the one on my 1993 where the head gasket failed at 28K miles,
which lead to a completely rebuilt head, compliments of SAAB...after 4
months in a garage...

Hmmm...a rather generous statement, given what I've heard around the 3
local saab garages....

I am glad Saab 'fixed' these problems. Nice to see that the car buying
public was able to fund Saab's engineering as they field tested their cars
in the real world. I figure I paid twice for my 81 Turbo ($18K in 1981
dollars) with all the repairs I put into it because of all the above
problems. I hit everyone, even more. What can I say, I believed the nice
sales glossies.....
