I am not certain what it is that you want to do with your car. In the
USA the 1991 cars have exactly the same 'appearing' headlamps as
European cars do. Same turn signal lenses, same taillights.

The only difference in the headlamps is that the USA lamps are
'sealed' and use an H9004 bulb, which is incompatible with H4
connectors and mounting. They also have small raised bumps to aid in
aiming them with a mechanical device.

They are also vastly inferior to any European H4 headlamps.

I don't know of any differences at all in the front turn signals.
Perhaps in Germany, you are required to burn one of those lamps all
the time as a 'daytime driving lamp', but that will not change,
unless you change all the wiring for the lamps.

As for the taillights, the only difference I know of is that on
European cars, you have rear fog lights. The Classic 900 in the USA
did not get rear fog lamps. Saab did, however, use those bulbs as
brake lights. Again, to make that switch would require that you
re-wire at least the hatch for the rear fogs to work as brake lights.

However, if you are talking about converting to the earlier USA
headlamps, which used a 200mm rectangular sealed beam, there is yet
another problem with that. The early USA headlamps (1979-1986) will
fit properly only with the early style bumpers. To use them on your
1991 cars would require that you change the front spoiler, grille,
turn signals, headlamps, and on the SPG, the bumper extensions.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!
