The TCS safety valve is a likely culprit. I replaced it twice in 70K miles on
my 9000T. It is an electrically operated solenoid that switches vacuum to the
throttle housing. When the TCS computer detects a problem, it sends a signal
(or de-powers) the solenoid valve. The valve breaks the vacuum circuit to the
throttle preventing the drive by wire operation of the pedal potentiometer
and throttle motor. The backup cable throttle restores limp home function. It
is not an expensive part (about $50 ?), but tough to diagnose without the
Tech 2 or ISAT tool. You just might replace a good valve that is acting
correctly to a TCS system fault. I don't believe in shotgunning parts to
effect a repair. My advice: take it to the dealer or someone with the right
diagnostic tools.
