Regarding the comment, 'I hate gov't mandated stuff!', about daytime running
lights: IIRC in the US, DRLs are NOT government mandated. They are in
Canada, and of course, in Sweden. This was a decision by Saab (and also GM
as a whole) to use them universally in US cars. Of course, so many other
marques also do them, it is almost the same thing:-). But if they were
truly Government mandated, you probably wouldn't have the option of
disabling them, either.

Not trying to be pedantic, but just to set the record
straight....personally, I'm proud that Saab pioneered their use, along with
the headlight wiper/washers, etc.
