Own 99 9-5, 2.3l. Computer replaced three times in 65000 miles. First for
hot start problem, car would not start properly when temp was above cold
and less then hot after running. Change in computer solved problem.
Second replacement when Saab decided it needed to be changed. Third
problem was caused by failure of cruise control + check engine light with
no other obvious cause. Last was well after warranty ended. Saab paid for
work but only after I paid for labor to replace anti skid brake system
which appeared to be causing the cruise control problem. Saab paid for
the part.

Overall this is the best vehicle I have ever owned. Previous Saab was '87
9000T, now has well over 315,000 miles and is used y local school. Never
had valve cover off the engine. 9-5 consistently gets 31+ mpg on trips on
Interstate no39sdcx6spamx782 75 mph cruise speeds, plus some in city driving. Tires run
at 48 psi now have 65K miles and will need replacement in next 3-5K miles.

Chuck
