I've not noticed that NG900's are particularly heavy, but compared to a
lower powered car, it must naturally have a greater clamping pressure. Try
to compare it to another '97 or earlier model - it's conceivable that the
cable needs attention.

Most cars, especially Saabs, have a tendency to follow the crown in the
road. See if it drifts left when you are in the left lane of an expressway
- if so, I'd have to call the behavior normal. If it still drifts right
*up and over the crown* then try swapping the tires right to left. If it
still drifts right, I'd be concerned about the car having been bent. The
wheel alignment on that model is limited to 'toe adjustment', which
shouldn't really cause the car to drift to one side, even if it's not
adjusted correctly.
