I have a similar problem on my 1995 SET as well.
Does the intensity of the noise change if you steer left or right, or take a
crest quickly and maybe lighten the load over the front wheels ( not
responsible for the last tip, just saw it on Audifans digest !!!) ;-)
Mine does slightly and so I am leaning towards front wheel bearings, any
other DTBT. Parts availability and installation issues ??
