New 9-3 News

If you've seen the latest NINES, you've seen the spy photos of
the heavily masked new 9-3 undergoing testing. A reliable source of
mine has provided some additional information, some of which may or
may not be a surprise.

The new 9-3 for 2003 will not be available in a hatchback. The
trunk space will be smaller than we are used to but the rear
seats will fold down.

The good news is that this will be the best handling Saab ever
(from the viewpoint of a base model) and other Saabs will
eventually be available that will meet the needs of hatchback
lovers (aside from the existing 9-5 Wagon).

Chew on that folks.

Steve
