Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 30, as the Saab Club of Central Ohio
hosts 'Rally in the Hills.'

The event is open to all Saab owners who want to drive to and around the
beautiful Hocking Hills State Park. This is not a competition-style rally,
but a leisurely drive through one of Ohio's most scenic areas. The roads
are excellent, with lots of hills and curves that you and your Saab will
enjoy.

Because this event is open to anyone, we've decided to meet in a location
that is somewhat central as a starting point, Yoctangee Park in
Chillicothe. We'll meet at 10 a.m. in the public parking lot, with the goal
of leaving at 10:30. For those in the Columbus area who want to caravan to
Chillicothe, we'll be meeting at the Wal-Mart parking lot on South High
Street/Route 23 at 8:30 a.m. and leave at 9 a.m. for the 45 minute cruise
to Yoctangee Park.

If you would like to join the group at another location along the way,
here's the route we'll take:

>From Chillicothe, we'll head south on 23/35 to Route 50 and go east toward
Athens. We'll turn left at Route 278 and go north to Zaleski, where we head
right, just after the bridge where Routes 278 and 677 meet. From here,
we'll take 278 to Lake Hope, with a stop at the Lodge for lunch. Bring a
picnic lunch (no alcohol allowed in the parks).

After the lunch break, we'll head out again on Route 278, going north to
Route 56, and head west. This will take us to Ash Cave, our next stop.
Leaving Ash Cave, we'll make a circular route around the park. You can jump
on or off wherever you want, especially as we get closer to Route 33 for
those heading back to Columbus and all points north. We won't stop at each
cave location for more than 1/2 hour, or you can skip a stop and continue
the journey.

Route maps and other information will be handed out in Chillicothe. It is
highly recommended that you use a state map to plan the basic route
yourself prior to coming on the trip.
