Heated Windshield Wiper Fluid

I had the wiper fluid heating system installed in my '88 900 Turbo
16S. It was available directly from Saab and can be found in their
accessory catalogue. It consisted of a 'heater' (which was
installed in the hose between the thermostat housing and the water
cooler) and some extra hoses (which not only were connected to
the original nozzles but also let the water run back to the water
reservoir). It is true that the hot wiper fluid cleaned the windshield a
little better, but the pressure in the wiper fluid system dropped so
significantly that I removed the heater. Maybe the 9000 pump is
better, otherwise I do not recommend that system.
