The emergency brake on the 9-3 (and NG900, I presume) consists of a small
set of shoes inside the 'tophat' of the rear brake disks (similar to '69-'74
fronts on the Saab 99). They are adjusted by means of a screw/bolt of some
sort on the backing plate of the disk (I don't recall exactly what it looks
like or where - only did it once 3 years ago. I think you adjust until the
lever comes up 6 clicks. No special tool is required for the caliper/pads as
it is just a standard caliper since the parking brake is not part of it.
Sorry, can't help with the spark plugs - got rid of my 9-3 before it needed
them; ain't leasing great?
As far as I know, the service info is available only in the form of the Saab
WIS (Workshop Information System) CD ROM. There was a debate a while ago as
to whether a Saab dealer would sell them or not - I don't recall how that
turned out. If they won't, or if you don't want to pay, you may be able to
ask your dealer sweetly if they'll print out the 60K service info for you -
the CD makes nice print-outs of whatever you're working on.

the 9-3 was replaced)
