A-arm bushing (front): $12.40
A-arm bushing support bracket (front): $6.19
A-arm bushing (rear): $20.52
Tie rod end: $19.56

You'd be getting two of each item above, giving a parts total of a measly
$117.34. Prices are taken directly from the on-line catalog at:

http://www.ips-parts.com

Personally, if I had a bushing press at home, it would take me 1 to 2 hours
on each side of the car to replace this stuff, depending on how crusty the
bolts were down there. A front-wheel alignment on a 9000 is limited to
toe-in adjustment, and no rear wheel alignment is possible. I believe I
paid about $75 for such an alignment when I last had one done.

So, you should be able to find a competent experienced SAAB repair shop
willing to do this job for less than half of what this dealer quoted you.

For a more complete suspension service, I'd recommend another $100.30 in
additional parts, broken down as follows:

Ball joint: $23.12
Sway bar link: $19.98
Sway bar link lower bushing (pair): $3.24
Sway bar bushing (inner): $3.81

They wouldn't necessarily pay much attention to those, and it's
near-impossible to tell if they're bad by just looking at the a-arm as
attached to the car.

> I don't understand why the tires haven't shown any unusual wear on them.

In the SAAB 9000 world, stranger things have been known to happen...
