A really cheap fix for this problem is to remove the valve mechanism from the
plastic assembly. In troubleshooting this problem (squirters not working on
one side or the other), I found I could open the tiny valve with a pocket
knife blade (be careful) and cut out the innards with the same blade.
Reassemble by snapping back together and squirt away. I remember promising
myself to buy a new valve and never got to it. Did the same treatment to the
other side a couple of months later. No negative affect has been noticed.
