I have had experience with Clews and Strawbridge Saab and while they do =
only service Saab cars I would be highly tentative to bring my car there =
again. I had an interesting couple of experiences after moving to the =
area with a 2000 93, the first for a simple oil change. When I picked =
the car up the oil light came on pulling out of the dealer lot. I turned =
the vehicle around and brought it back up to the service center. they =
checked the car and said the oil level was fine. I left again another =
mile or two down the road the oil light came on again, this time I =
pulled over to a Goodyear service center who again checked the oil level =
and found the car was at least a quart and half low, less than 2 miles =
from paying for a 3,000 mile oil change. When I returned to my office I =
called Clews and to their credit they did apologize and provide a free =
oil change.=20

I should have learned my lesson the first time, but for the next oil =
change I did go back, and I also asked them to review the security =
system which consistently was triggered in my garage and various other =
places where the car was parked. I picked vehicle up a couple of days =
later after a business trip where they insisted there was nothing wrong =
with the security system in my car, however as it was being brought =
around for pickup the alarm was triggered while the service manager was =
driving the car. Again they spent another hour with the car, and came =
back with no problem found. I left the dealer and within the next 20 or =
so miles the alarm went off another 3 times while the car was in motion, =
on top of that my dash lights would not work.=20

Rather than continue to deal with incompetence I simply took the car to =
an independent mechanic I use for my vintage cars who within 40 minutes =
had found and fixed the problem, tracing it to a loose connection pf =
some sort under the hood, I wish I could explain better, but I am =
mechanically inept. However, my mechanic was so adamant about how easy =
it was he refused to charge me for his time. Since then I have not had =
another probelem with the vehicle.

The cut and dry of the story is Clews may be small, and my experieces =
may be isolated, however they have been enough to tell me to stay away =
in the future. Mistakes do happen, but they seem to occur more =
frequently at this particular dealership.
