Cold Weather Issues

Can anyone help with a couple cold weather issues? I have a 1997 900S (NG
of course) with 120,000 miles on it. When it gets down into the 10's and
20's (Fahrenheit) I see the following problems:

1) The antenna for the radio sticks -- either up or down. When it sticks up
that is not such a big issue, but down is a pain since I have a long
commute. I tried lubricating it with WD40 but this didn't seem to have any
effect. Is there some way to make the antenna less likely to stick when it
gets cold?

2) My emergency brake also does not release when it gets cold. This seems
to be a particular problem in reverse for some reason -- when driving
forward it appears to disengage itself. I have taken to backing into
whatever spot I am parking, but I can't imagine that driving forward as a
means of disengaging the brake can be good for it. Any ideas on how to
resolve this?
