Rough Running

My wife's car (2.3 l '94 9000 CS) started to run rough after she'd stop at a
store. It would run roughly until she had driven awhile and the engine had
cooled somewhat. Now, the engine runs smoothly when started cold, but after
driving about 10 miles, it will run roughly again continuously. Some part is
failing in the heat. It's failing earlier now. I have told her I suspect the
DI Cassette, but that is just a guess. Any other part I should suspect? How
can I pin it on the cassette?
