Does this model use EGR? Hard to imagine carbon build-up so severe as to
cause that much NOX and the car still be driveable. At this point I'd
suspect the replacement catalytic converter. It's simple chemistry - well,
complicated chemistry - the products of combustion, in the presence of the
catalyist, combine to form H2O and CO2 - *IF* the mixture is stochiometric
(14.6:1). High NOX usually indicates lean running. BTW, was the O2 sensor
replaced along with the cat?
