Since you are going with a lower temp switch I would replace the t/stat with
the lower temp version also if you havn't already. The fan switch is a
simple unscrew the old and screw in the new but a good amount of coolant can
leak. I would just plug in a heater hose to the draincock and let about a
gallon drain into a clean container, and just take my time with it and do
the t/stat at the same time. HTH
