Before you conclude that something is wrong, you might want first to
consider where the sensor is -- under the front bumper/behind the spoiler.
The temp display always reads high in certain situations -- on the highway,
in heavy traffic, in blacktop-paved parking lots, if the car has been
sitting in the sun all day -- on a consistent basis, until the car gets
moved into a cooler environment. So the sensor actually reads temps between
the bumper and the road surface. OTOH if you've got a 20-degree swing in
BOTH directions, you might want to have the sensor checked.
