Yes. Every (well. most) car audio manufacturer out there has a
proprietary interface to their CD changer.

>(2) What brand of CD changer should I get?

Clarion The 6- CD unit, like CDC-635. DO NOT use the CDC-655, or any
with funky suffixes. I think it was Autotoys.com had a kit for cars
without a changer to add one. It uses the FM antenna & a Clarion
CDC-635.

>(3) Any comments on the dealer installing the CD changer vs. The Good Guys
>for example?

Dealer advantages:

He'll have the right bracket and know how to install it.
You'll get the right changer (if it hasn't been discontinued)

Dealer disadvantages:

It'll be expensive
They probably won't do it unless you buy all the bits from them

'Good Guys' advantages:

Price
Will likely work with parts you supply them (for a fee, of course)

'Good Guys' disadvantages:

Can they get the right bracket?
Will they drill through something important?
