I have a 99 Viggen, and a 92 9000 Turbo (with the Aero engine).  I also
added the SAAB high performance (lowered) suspension to the 9000.  The 9000
has 140,000 brutal washboard, tire spinning miles on it, and is only on its
third clutch and second transmission.

I prefer the much of the experience in the 92; the Viggen has more power,
speed and is quieter, but it is a dull happy Camry by comparison.  I
commute in my Viggen, but nothing hammers like the '92.  The Viggen's
software, I guess, smooths everything out for the minivan set.  Shame.  And
the suspension, while more capable (i.e., you can fly into turns a lot
faster than you might think) is mushy around town.  This is close to your
father's Oldsmobile.   Are there any good chipsets out there to make the
Viggen truly snort?  Who's got the aftermarket bushings, struts and sway bars?

BTW, I had to return my Viggen to the dealer four times over two months
before they fixed severe front end vibration, and the SAAB customer service
department parried all efforts at assistance.  Buying this car was no fun
at all.
