Gear Shifter & Radio Speakers

I have a '95 900S (100k) with manual transmission. I've started having
problems with the shifter in reverse. If I'm not very careful to hold back
the stick when I start it will pop out of gear. I suspect it is a problem
with the linkage but I don't know where to look. One the car is moving in
gear there is no sign of wear.

My second question pertains to the radio speakers. I want to replace them
with better quality speakers. The sound of the original factory speakers
has deteriorated with age. Currently there are two speakers in the dash and
two in the rear deck. When I replace them I would like to add two speakers
in the front doors. Does anybody know if the front doors are pre-wired and
also if the factory radio has ample power to drive conventional higher
performance speakers or if I need to consider adding a supplemental amp.
