You could take your car in to a dealer to have the codes read and cleared.
You could also just try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes.
You'll lose your radio station presets, but your check-engine light might
just go away. I know this works on the '93 model.

If the light comes back under normal operation, then I'd definitely try to
get the car checked.
