It is your winshield washer fluid pump. I also have a '94 900s (114,000
miles). Mine went bad 2 years ago. Don't buy a used one (I tried and that
was bad too). A new one was about $85. To access it, take off the
driver's side front wheel and pull back the plastic wheel well cover. In
the front of the wheel well is the fluid pump. Remove the electrical plug,
pull the hoses off and pull the pump straight up to get it out. To install
the new one, just do the reverse. Now, if I remember correctly, depending
on your VIN, there were two different style pumps used that year. Make
sure you get the right one (I'd bring the old one to the dealer to be
sure). While you are in there, you may want to replace any of the flow
check-valves (most of mine have gone bad at least once). These are those
cheap little connectors for the washer fluid hose and they are all over the
damn car. Good luck.
