I Have the same problem with my 9000...intermittent starting.  My symptoms
are single click from engine bay when key turned to crank the engine, but
this usually happens when the car is hot, sometimes not.  I found at
www.saabsite.com under 9000 parts, ignition related, an ignition switch= and
here's what they said about failure:

I don't know if that helps or not, or if you've already done that, but = its
only another $54 and some of your time, if you were to do it yourself. Now, i
haven't actually fixed mine yet, but that's because i am in the process of
installing a new engine, i have bigger fish to fry right now=

with my car.  But, i have a feeling that part may help, and i plan on buying
that part eventually.
