I noticed the startup voltage on my 9000 was dropping into that range for a
couple of weeks, maybe 4, until I got stranded with a bad voltage regulator.
Turned out that the v-reg was charging at a decreasing voltage which allowed
the battery to slowly drain over that period until one day the regulator
stopped.... regulating... and I had to limp home on battery. Nearly made it
too! but ran dry about 10 miles short. Had to get a second battery
delivered.

New Personal Motto # 76: replace the voltage regulator at 100k miles whether
it needs it or not. $20 solution to a very unpleasant situation, if it's
night, and you're pulling a boat, and the car is full of kids, and it's
late, and you're out of town.... (you get the idea).
