Got a 'new' '96 9000CSE with only 48K and I'd like to start it off
right.  First of all, I need a source for ATE brake fluid, preferrably
BF1200, that was recommended.   Web browsing for this stuff on a
low-bandwidth connection has not been productive so far :-(

Second, manual tranny lube: Amsoil series 2000 20/50 was recommended to
me.  The owner's manual doesn't list a spec for manual lube, but my '89
900 turbo has a warning specifically against synthetic *MOTOR* oil.
Amsoil has a series 2000 75W synthetic gear oil.  The factory lube,
whatever it is, has the tranny shifting smooth as silk.  Do I need to
bother yet?  My 900 seems to like the Mobil 1 75W synthetic gear oil.

Also the clutch hose was mentioned as a weak component (already did the
harmonic balancer...).  Did anyone ever develop a braided stainless
version for the 9000 (and 900)?  My understanding was that obtaining the
correct fittings was hampering fabrication by folks making hoses, i.e.,
Paragon Performance (love their 900 brake line kit!).  Anything else to
watch out for?

Of course it goes without saying that the engine gets Mobil 1 and a UPF
13 filter (or Delco Gold if I can find them).
