The New 9-3 will be introduced to the public and the press (there has not
been and, according to my contacts, will not be *** any *** advance
information) on May 13 at the Paris Auto Show. There could well be one on
display at the Owners' Convention, and the car will go on sale in North
America at the usual New Model Year time.

'Spy Photo' shots of the car being tested in North America have been
published in NINES - those cars were very heavily disguised, but on close
examination, you can see a grille and rear treatment similar to the updated
9-5. NINES 256 shows the 9-3X, which is said to show the interior styling
and generally the front appearance.

The 9-3X will ultimately be available in sedan, convertible, and '5 door'
(Wagon or Hatchback? The 9-3X was said to be a good representation of the
5-door) models, with at least one AWD version. Rumors of a coupe surface
now and again. Those that talk to people who have driven it have said it's
very good.
