Manual Transmission Repair

The 5spd. transmission has failed on my 1991 9000T. I have been able to get
the transmission out of the car, but before I arrange to exchange it for a
different one, I was hoping to open the case to see what had failed. If it
was only a few parts, I thought I might try to get them and repair it myself.
Unfortunately, I haven't quite figured out how the case comes apart. Has
anyone done this before? Any tips would be appreciated. Information on a
source for internal transmission parts (other than Saab dealers who don't
seem to have any) would also be appreciated.
