Re: 205-50-16 Tires

Replaced my Michelin MXM's last week on my '94 900SE Turbo with Pirelli 7000
Supersports.

Fortunately I had a chance to test them while driving at high speed in
torrential downpours and found no signs of hydroplaning.

They steer more easily (probably due to a smaller contact patch), but are
also a bit lighter at speed as well. The ride is noticeably softer while
handling is on par with the Michelins and road noise is somewhat less. Keep
in mind that I rarely have occasion to test tires at their extremes unless a
driving situation forces me to.

Overall, I'd have to say that for driving situations I encounter 98% of the
time (highway speeds of 65 -80, roads under continuous construction,
avoiding stupid drivers, and flooded roads during downpours) these tires
suit the bill quite well and at about 60% cost of the Michelin seem to be a
good value.
