Have been running an '80 EMS for a while. Recently got rear-ended :-( but am pretty sure whatever I swap to would still be a SAAB (am looking for something like a '85 S, but used SAABs are scarcer than I thought). Anyway, the EMS probably saved me from any injury. An Audi 5000 plowed into me, using me as brakes (the bozo claim he was sneezing and didn't see the line of cars that were stopped waiting for a traffic light to turn green - yeah!). The impact was hard enough (pushed me into a 2002 in front of me and buckled both sides of HIS rear panels) to leave lots of buckled metal at the back (not a scratch in the EMS' front) that I don't really think is worth fixing. By the time the BMW and I drove off, the Audi's driver was looking nervously at the liquid dropping from HIS radiator :-) If I were in a Japanese car, parts of me could have turned into shushi by now. In my old age, I like to have heavy metal surrounding my body when there are lots of heavy MOVING objects around me. :-) Thanks in advance, Kok Chen {decwrl, sun}!apple!kchen Apple Computer, Inc.
